I know I’ve said this before, but I love the idea that Butch Deloria actually likes children.

One headcanon I have for this is that the “child at heart” perk isn’t actually your perk, it’s Butch’s. Like when you have Butch as a follower and your lone wanderer is talking to a kid in game and the perk diologue comes up, it’s actually Butch interrupting the lw to talk to the kid. ‘Cause your lw knows absolutely nothing about dealing with children (let alone how to talk to them), but Butch man, he got this paternal instinct, like he just knows how to handle a kid. And ya know something? He actually likes it. Who knew? (certainly no one in the Vault that’s for damn sure)
