hi everybody, my name is tara, and i’m a mentally ill trans woman

for roughly the last year, i’ve been able to live away from my family due to being enrolled in college, but the combination of dysphoria and mental illness meant steadily declining grades, and i will not be able to return after the end of this semester

without being in college i will be forced to move back in with my family, which is something i would very much like to avoid. they have been unsupportive of me since i came out and abusive for much longer than that, and living with them is unsustainable for me, to say the least

as such, i’m hoping to be able to leave before the semester ends, aiming for early may, and cut myself off from my family. i have friends who are willing to help me once i arrive at my destination, but i’m going to need money for a plane ticket, shipping my possessions, and to help land on my feet once i’m out

if i could escape my family, i will finally find myself in a place where i can feel safe, and maybe even take steps to finally begin transition. it would mean so much to me if i could do this, and this is the only shot i’ve got so far
